CWU HELPING OUT IN THE COMMUNITY In May 2006 a group of Liverpool Cub Scouts, the 5th Walton-on-the-Hill, took their IT badge at the CWU 1st Class Learning Centre. Lead ULR Billy Butterworth, with the assistance of branch chair Simon Roberts, took the Cub Scouts through their paces on the computers in the Learning Centre, giving up their Sunday morning in the interests of learning. All the cubs achieved their badges. All were well behaved, courteous and a credit to their leaders. Royal
Mail allowed them to use the Learning Centre, providing they were accompanied
by approved leaders, and Knowsley College, the partner college at this
Learning Centre were happy to be involved in the wider community using
the facility. |
